She represents numerous municipal clients and improvement authorities throughout New Jersey as bond counsel, assisting them with their issuance of general obligation and revenue bonds. Kerry has worked with many state agencies in conduit financings on behalf of her clients, including the New Jersey Environmental Infrastructure Trust, the New Jersey Economic Development Authority, the New Jersey Health Care Facilities Financing Authority and the New Jersey Educational Facilities Authority. In many public finance transactions, she serves as underwriter’s counsel or trustee’s counsel.
Kerry also represents school boards of education throughout New Jersey as their bond counsel, providing legal guidance through the referendum process, financing of school construction projects, and the issuance of bonds and refunding bonds. She has assisted school boards and municipalities in the general counsel role as well, advising the firm’s clients on legal matters involving public meetings, public records, contracts, labor, and personnel issues.
Her corporate practice includes representing small corporations with organizational, corporate governance and transactional matters.
Currently an adjunct professor at Brookdale Community College, Ms. Morgan teaches courses in Business Law, Elder Law and Corporate Law Procedure. She is also the Executive Director for MOCEANS Center for Independent Living, Inc., a non-profit organization in Long Branch, NJ. She lives in Spring Lake Heights, NJ with her husband, John, and three children.
Kerry received her J.D. from Seton Hall University School of Law in 1996. She received her B.S. from Kent State University in 1991, which she attended on a full scholarship for women’s basketball.
