Kerry J. Morgan focuses her practice on corporate law, public finance, school law, municipal law and real estate.
Her corporate practice includes contractual litigation and shareholder disputes, along with organizational, corporate governance and transactional matters. Kerry has also handled land use and real estate matters.
Kerry represents numerous municipal clients and improvement authorities throughout New Jersey as bond counsel, assisting them with their issuance of general obligation and revenue bonds. She has worked with many state agencies in conduit financings on behalf of her clients, including the New Jersey Environmental Infrastructure Trust, the New Jersey Economic Development Authority, the New Jersey Health Care Facilities Financing Authority and the New Jersey Educational Facilities Authority. In many public finance transactions, Ms. Morgan serves as underwriter’s counsel or trustee’s counsel.
She also represents school boards of education throughout New Jersey as their bond counsel, providing legal guidance through the referendum process, financing of school construction projects, and the issuance of bonds and refunding bonds. Kerry has assisted school boards and municipalities in the general counsel role as well, advising the firm’s clients on legal matters involving public meetings, public records, contracts, labor, and personnel issues.
Currently an adjunct professor at Fairleigh Dickenson University and Brookdale Community College, Kerry teaches courses in Corporate Law, Business Law and Elder Law. She lives in Spring Lake Heights, New Jersey, with her husband, John, and three children.
Kerry received her J.D. from Seton Hall University School of Law in 1996. She received her B.S. from Kent State University in 1991, which she attended on a full scholarship for women’s basketball.
